The Etsy for Animals street team (EFA) is raising money in order to file for non-profit status [also known as 501 (c) 3 in the US] so that we can continue running the Etsy for Animals shop to raise money for animal charity.

Etsy for animals (EFA) is a street team, or group of artists and craftspeople on Etsy.com who love and help animals, many of whom donate some portion of their sales to animal rescues and charities. (It is not required to donate to animal charities to belong)

We provide for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each animal. We take a holistic approach in animal care, giving all needed supportive services including hospice care."
The June 2008 International Charity of the Month is:
WSPA Canada - World Society for the Protection of Animals
"WSPA is an animal welfare charity that works internationally and locally to end cruelty to animals through field work, campaigning, and education."
