His Holiness Pitka, an American raised by Indian gurus, is back in the States looking to make his mark in the self-help industry with his bizarre, nondenominational approach to enlightenment. His first high-profile assignment? Reunite hockey star Darren Roanoake with his wife in time for the Toronto Maple Leafs to win the Stanley Cup. Pitka's got his work cut out for him, though, as Roanoake's wife has found consolation in the arms of his L.A. Kings rival, Jacques Grande. Three Good Reasons 1You may pick up a few tidbits of actual enlightenment, as this film is a product of a spiritual journey that Mike Myers under- took after his father's death. If not, enjoy the crotch jokes. 2Behold Justin Timberlake wearing nothing but a Speedo and a French-Canadian accent. He's bringing sexy back, eh? 3Mini-Me speaks! Verne Troyer, who played Dr. Evil's miniature clone in the Austin Powers franchise actually has lines in this movie as the hockey team's coach. But don't worry, he'll still take plenty of abuse (Troyer started out as a stuntman). Bet You Didn't KnowThe character of the Guru Pitka originally appeared in Mike Myers' script for Austin Powers in The Spy Who Shagged Me. In a scene that was never filmed, Austin travels to India to see if the guru could help him regain his mojo. Rather than use Pitka for one short scene, Myers spent several years developing him in comedy clubs to build an entire movie around the character. More about The Love Guru on Yahoo! Movies
